Last month I had a short telephone call with Courtney and Philip Mason, the owners of a young art-to-wear brand named ‘Studio Jellyfish’.  Call it  a mini-interview, if you wish. I recently attended the Fashion Footwear Association of New York’s Shoe Expo. Held at a hotel, it is an opportunity for the companies to show retailers what they can put in a purchase order for. Many, many of the midline shoe retailers come, and it’s a very informative sight for an accessories writer, indeed.
