Happy Birthday Carlos Santana
have included a photo of Carlos with Deborah even though they divorced in 2007, because Deborah was integral in structuring the business. Carlos Santana turns 63 today. Santana was born July 20, 1947, in Autlán de Navarro, Mexico. Carlos learned to play the violin at age five and the guitar at age eight. Love that song. .

LaRare by Nathalie Elharrar
With a portfolio that includes work for names such as Balmain, Guy Laroche, Thierry Mugler, and Lagerfeld, this is a designer who already had a large body of work behind her when she released her own shoe line in 2007. All that, and I still haven’t managed to show you the shoes yet? How silly of me. What can I say? website.

Miss Havisham, 2007
Manolo says, what bothers the Manolo here is not that Carrie Bradshaw is the older bride , but that this gown emphasizes how Sarah Jessica Parker has exercised herself into the haggard state. She appears desiccated, as if all of the life and youth have been wrung out of her. The result is pathetic and faintly tragic. This gown hangs on her.

2007, The Year of the Fetish Shoe!
And thus, with this picture, the Manolo now officially declares 2007, The Year of the Fetish Shoe. Manolo says, here from the Daily Mail is that saucy trollop the Victoria "Posh" Beckham wearing the ridiculous and dangerous looking spikey shoes. Five and the half inch stiletto heels? The height of fashion ! Weird dominatrix boots?

New Year's Even Night In
No fancy parties or events. No dressing up or going out. We're just at home relaxing for our New Year's Eve ( ack ! have to go to work in another day!) We actually invited our good friends and neighbors over for dinner. We had a delicious meal and some great wine and I taught them how to make bagels. They are such great friends. Cheers! Luv Poochi

Decade of Shoe Trends - 2007
2007 shoe designs can be described with one word: platforms. . Alexander McQueen offered covered platforms with pencil thin stiletto heels. . . Ralph Lauren offered the LBD of shoes. The platforms make the heel about 2.5 inches. This is a workhorse shoe. I have this pair and wear them often. . Prada showed us the new platform.

Back in Flower
A few days ago I posted about all of the lovely Resort shoes from Miu Miu and Prada and how swoon-worthy they are. But my favorites are the flower heels. And I love the coral version of the Prada Nappa Delave sandal but I was less enamored of the Prada Raso Satin Slide because I didn't like the main shoe part. But look at these lovelies.

Imitation = Flattery?
In spite of them being obviously ridiculous and only for a runway show, you had to know that a shoe as recognizable as these platforms from the Dior 2007 ready-to-wear show would be knocked off sooner or later. Well, Zinc, with their Josie platform heel , have tried their best.
